"Wow! Absolutely amazed by the whole experience. Very cozy and warm, even in the pouring rain. Thank you"
Gareth & Charlie

"oh what a lovely time we had. I was a bit unsure of the idea of staying in a yurt, but I loved it! Such a lot of effort has been put into making the yurt homely and atmospheric. Although we only cooked breakfast, sitting outdoors from the early morning till night felt wonderful. Thank you for such a great time."
Mel, Nick, Tom and Jordan

"We have had the most beautiful weather, and although we used the log burner we didn't need to! It is warm and cozy. Our dogs loved it and we walked to Christchurch and also to the New Queen Pub along the Avon valley walk! Excellent facilities, great cooking here and the Lamb Inn is perfect. Thanks"

"I really liked the yurts, toasting marshmallows around the camp fire was my favourite thing. Look out for the big fish in the river. Missed my wifi LOL!!"

Sopley Lake Yurt Camp

Our yurt glamping (definition: glamorous camping) site is ideally situated for your yurt holiday. Our yurt camp is only 3 miles from the edge of the New Forest National Park, easy walking distance to the local pub, close to two farm shops and surrounded by Sopley Farm pick your own fields. And we are only 15 minutes from the nearest beach at Highcliffe Castle.

Sopley Lake Yurt Camp is run by Forest Yurts. We pride ourselves on the service we provide you and the quality of your glamping holiday. We are mad about yurts and providing you with the best possible experience. Don't believe what we say, but read our glamping reviews from our lovely guests! Our yurt camp is open from April 1st to October 31st.

The yurts themselves are nestled in trees on the edge of Sopley Lake. Backed on to by a meadow and stream, lined with wild flowers during the summer months. The lake is abundant with wild fowl and fish (fishing is available from May), and other visitors to Sopley Lake yurts include a barn owl and roe and fallow deer.

We have four sites available with a total of five yurts, each site has it's own private facilities including campfire, bathroom with eco-loo and hot shower, and fully equipped sheltered cooking station. The yurts have been individually decorated by our interior designer, each yurt is unique and filled with furnishings from the Far East, North Africa and the Middle East. All you have to bring is personal items. We provide towels and bedding, tableware and kitchenware, and can even stock your fridge with food for the BBQ from the local farm shop for your arrival. Sopley Farm at the entrance also sells seasonal fruit and veg picked from the surrounding fields. Logs are available on site. We are also dog friendly!

Whether you are after a romantic weekend (see our Love Yurt), getting away with the kids, or looking to experience glamping in the UK, Sopley Lake Yurt Camp will surpass your expectations. We also cater of the quieter yurt hen party.

From 2015 our yurts are slightly changing with Dragon & Baby being replaced by Double Dragon.
