Sopley Lake Yurt Glamping
Situated 3 miles from the edge of the New Forest our yurt camp is ideally located. Walking distance to two pubs in Sopley and Winkton, an organic farm shop and surrounded by pick your own fruit and veg fields. The beach at Highcliffe is fifteen minutes away. Our yurt camp location lies next to Sopley Lake, shrouded by trees and backed on to by a meadow, fields and a stream, an idyllic location for yurt camping. The lake is abundant with wild fowl and fish, the bank of the stream lined with wild flowers during the summer months. Buzzards, a tawny owl and roe and fallow deer are all visitors here.
Too much excitement? Curl up by the wood burner in your cosy yurt or chill out by the fire pit under the stars. After all, this is yurt glamping!
Authentic Mongolian Yurts in our glamping camp
All our authentic Mongolian Yurts in our yurt camp come with sumptuous furnishings from Morocco, Turkey, India, Mongolia and Kyrgyzstan. Facilities include fully equipped outside cooking station (double gas ring, BBQ, warming oven, sink), camp fire, your own private hot shower and eco-loo. We have four options for yurt camping:
Dragon Yurt II sleeps two adults in a double bed and two children on single floor mattresses. Views across the lake from the yurt.
Two yurts on one site, Dragon Yurt and Baby Yurt, both with double beds, and two floor mattresses in the Dragon Yurt. The two yurts combined sleeps four adults and two children. Great value for yurt camping as you get double the yurts! The view looks out across the lake and comes with completely private facilities; bathroom, camp fire, cooking station and wood burners in each yurt. Our original yurt camp and a firm favourite. You can also hire Dragon Yurt on it's own, with a double bed and two single floor mattresses.
Lastly the largest of our yurts is the Elephant Yurt with two double beds and four single mattresses, sleeping four adults and two to four children. Designed for larger families, or two families looking for a luxury yurt holiday offering great value. Private bathroom with hot shower, towels and bedding included and superbly equipped cooking station, private camp fire, views across the lake, all just minutes from the New Forest, Hampshire with all it has to offer and just fifteen minutes from the sea at Highcliffe Beach. There is plenty to do in the area with Salisbury, Southampton and Bournemouth all within easy striking distance. But you don't have to go anywhere. Relax, chill, enjoy the surrounding nature and countryside. Roast marsh mellows over the camp fire or watch the stars from your hammock. Exclusive facilities come with all our yurts
All our yurts come with their own private facilities for your exclusive use. Bathrooms hand made to our own design come complete with hot shower and eco-loo. Soft fluffy towels provided as standard. We would love to show you more photos of our fantastic bathrooms, but we also love to give you a surprise on your arrival too.
